Poker and Other Casino Games
Poker is one of the most favorite games of casino players. This is because poker offers a number of interesting variations.
Variations to Poker
- Straight - A complete hand is given to each player. Players can raise and re-raise bets in one. This is the most traditional poker game before variations to the game were introduced.
- Stud: Cards are dealt in both face-down and face-up rounds or "streets." This the second oldest poker. The most popular stud game is the Seven-card stud, wherein two extra cards are dealt with (three face-down, four face-up) to form the best 5-card hand.
- Draw: Each player deals with a complete hand, face-down. Players can change their hand after betting. They let go of unwanted cards and get new ones with the end-purpose of improving their hand.
- Community: This is similar to stud. Players have an incomplete hand comprised of face-down cards. Several face-up "community" cards are at the center of the table, which can be used by the players to create the best 5-card hand. Texas hold-em and Omaha are examples of the Community poker.
